I actually am quite shocked about what websites said about this breed of rabbit. I have NEVER seen it before. Searched online, and found that it's a new breed. I got it from one of the first Jersey Wooly breeders in Singapore. Anyone who are interested can contact me. I'm proud to share it!
Truth is, they groom themselves! So long wools will only means you have to pop 1 or 2 papaya enzyme pills per week. And brush them about 2 times per week. The breeder only brush once per week! Like I say, THEY GROOM THEMSELVES! tehee. You might want to add a little rolled oat as treats sometimes, this helps enhance their fur. Other than that, THEY ARE THE SAME AS OTHER RABBITS!
Websites says, its hard to handle, but it isn't actually.
You see, Chow chow, being a popular dog breed in China, is becoming a popular breed among Singaporean now. So, what I'm trying to say is, If chow chow can make it in Singapore, where is all-round summer, why not a jersey wooly?
Being a dwarf rabbit, it's normally about 3lbs, or about 1.4kg, when fully grown. Which makes grooming less work (BY A LOOOOOOT!) as compared to Chow chow! Dogs with long coat need to be brushed 4~5 per week (It depends). Wooly only need to be brushed 1~2 times per week. So, who says rabbit it for people with a lot of time? You just have to be an animal lover! :D
